An aquatic herbicide application to treat the aquatic noxious weed Eurasian watermilfoil is planned for Priest Lake (Bonner County, Idaho) the week of June 20, 2016. The aquatic herbicide Reward (liquid diquat dibromide, EPA Registration # 100-1091) and Triclopyr 3 (liquid triclopyr, EPA Registration # 81927-13), will be applied in up to 12.5 acres in Priest Lake in various discrete locations to control Eurasian watermilfoil. Irrigation and drinking water restrictions will be in effect in treated and adjacent areas until herbicide residue levels in the water are within levels specified by the herbicide label. Homeowners who use water from the lake for drinking or irrigation are advised to not use lake water until herbicide residue samples indicate it is acceptable to do so. Restrictions will be in effect for a minimum of five (5) days or more depending on residue results. WATER USE RESTRICTION AREA

The aquatic herbicide Reward (liquid diquat dibromide, EPA Registration # 100-1091) and Triclopyr 3 (liquid triclopyr, EPA Registration # 81927-13), will be applied in up to 12.5 acres in Priest Lake in various discrete locations to control Eurasian watermilfoil. Irrigation and drinking water restrictions will be in effect in treated areas until herbicide residue levels in the water are within levels specified by the herbicide label. Homeowners who use water from the lake for drinking or irrigation are advised to not use lake water until herbicide residue samples indicate it is acceptable to do so. Water Use restrictions will be in effect for households utilizing water from the lake that are located up to 1,400 feet of treated areas, as follows:
Potable water: Functioning potable water intakes must be turned off until the triclopyr level in the intake water is determined to be 0.4 parts per million (ppm) or less by laboratory analysis or immunoassay. Home owners who use water from the lake for drinking are advised to not use lake water within the restricted areas for a minimum of 5 (five) days or more following the herbicide treatment. Water use restrictions will be reviewed and updates provided approximately five to seven days after treatment based on water sample laboratory analysis results.
Irrigation: Treated water may not be used for irrigation for up to five (5) days or more after application or water is determined to be non-detectable by laboratory analysis (immunoassay).
Recreational Use of Water in treatment Area: There are no restrictions on use of water in the treatment area for recreational purposes, including swimming and fishing.
Livestock Use of Water from treatment Area: Do not intentionally use water from the treated area for animalconsumption for one (1) day after applications. This does not apply to incidental exposure of animals to treated water.
